Well that getaway that I was needing happened this weekend. We had revival all last week, and even though I had to miss some services staying with Dustin because his back went out again, the revival was good and the Lord blessed with the HG. Friday night we get to church and find out that Marty, Lee, Kade, Kylee, Erik, Hilary and Daniel are leaving for the Smokies afterwards. There was an extra room so me and Dustin and the kids loaded up with them. We got there around 3:30-4:00 Saturday morning. We were pretty tired, but slept for a little while and got up and went to Pancake Pantry for breakfast and walked up and down the strip in the rain.
We headed back to the room for some rest and back out that night for some Mellow Mushroom and riding go carts. By this time it was going on 11 so we went back to the room and played Apples to Apples where I dominated. And there were many good laughs. So going on 2 the boys headed out and we all went to bed.
Sunday Hilary and Kylee wanted to fix breakfast and they did an outstanding job. It was raining again so we decided to just go shopping at the outlets where we found some good deals. Went and ate at bar-b-que place and it was really good. Went back to the room to pack up and clean and one last stop at the Apple Barn for some fried pies. We got home last night about 9:30. We are exhausted this morning, but glad we made the trip. We had a really good time and now it's time to plan for the beach trip coming up. Pictures of the trip to come soon.
